What Nexoxa Bridge does

  • Access external APIs and data stores through one desktop workbench
  • Execute SQL, file transfers, and server operations with explicit user consent
  • Connect AI Copilot to schema metadata and knowledge graphs — not raw secrets
  • Unify model inputs/outputs via nexoxa-mcp and optional Nexoxa accounts

Technical definition

Nexoxa Bridge is a middleware layer between developers (and AI assistants) and external systems: databases, SSH hosts, object storage, file transfer endpoints, and mail servers. Credentials stay encrypted on the device. Free covers solo use (up to 5 connections); Pro and Enterprise unlock knowledge graph, collaboration, and org features.

Architecture layers

  • Desktop shell (Tauri + WebView2) — UI and local credential vault
  • Node sidecar (127.0.0.1:47821) — SSR app, database drivers, SSH/S3 clients
  • Optional Nexoxa accounts — collaboration workspaces and platform subscriptions
  • External systems — your databases, SSH hosts, buckets, SMTP servers
  • AI providers — OpenRouter or BYOK; only request-scoped context is transmitted

Studio capabilities

  • Schema browser — tables, views, indexes, triggers, types, functions
  • Data grid — browse, filter, edit rows with FK navigation
  • SQL editor — Monaco-powered query workspace with EXPLAIN
  • ER diagrams and FK community graph (knowledge graph)
  • Server panel — processes, ports, Docker, terminal
  • Transfer studio — dual-pane SFTP/FTP with queue
  • Mail studio — SMTP connect, compose, send tests
  • AI Copilot — schema-aware assistant via your own API key (BYOK)
  • Collaboration — encrypted shared workspaces on paid plans
  • Self-hosted analytics — @nexoxa/analytics, @nexoxa/speed-insights, @nexoxa/seo on your servers

AI tool ecosystem

Nexoxa Bridge is positioned for LLM-native tooling: schema graph exports, Copilot with diff preview, and the nexoxa-mcp package so Claude Desktop, Cursor, and other MCP clients can discover schema and run approved workflows.
